Windows 11 and Server 2022 sensors report incorrect OS in Console

Issue

I have several endpoints that are reporting the incorrect OS in our EDR console.

Environment

VMware Carbon Black Cloud

VMware Carbon Black EDR

Windows sensors

Resolution

For VMware Carbon Black Cloud customers:

Upgrading to sensor version 3.8.0.398 or higher should resolve the issue.

For VMware Carbon Black EDR customers:

Upgrading to sensor version 7.3.0 or higher should resolve the issue.

Cause

There was an issue where the sensors were pulling incorrect version strings. This has been addressed in the releases mentioned above.
