Issue
Red Canary Support is asking for web browser logs to capture a webpage issue.
Environment
Red Canary Portal or relevant EDR platform
Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari web browsers
Resolution
- Set up logging
- Open Chrome and prepare to reproduce the webpage issue or error
- Either press F12 key or right-click and select Inspect or navigate to Menu > More Tools > Developer Tools
- Select the Console tab in the Chrome Developer Tools Console (Bottom Window)
- Click the Clear button
- Generate a HAR file
- Select the Network tab
- Begin recording network activity (red circle)
- Select Preserve Log
- Click the Clear button
- Reproduce the issue
- After the issue has been reproduced, right-click inside of the network activity window and select Save all as har with content.
- If this option is not available, Click the download button
to export the HAR file.
- If this option is not available, Click the download button
- Upload the HAR to Support for analysis: https://go.my.redcanary.co/shared_files/new
