Issue
Customer receives status alert: The subscription 'a12345b-6789-0123-4567-c890123456d' is not registered to use microsoft.insights after adding a new Azure subscription and attempting Red Canary integration.

Resolution
To resolve the Microsoft.Insights registration error:
- Log into the Azure Portal (https://portal.azure.com).
- Navigate to Subscriptions and select the affected subscription.
- In the left menu, select Resource providers.
- Search for Microsoft.Insights.
- Click Register.
- Wait a few minutes for registration to complete, then verify Red Canary status checks return to green.
Cause
The Microsoft.Insights resource provider is not registered in the Azure subscription, preventing monitoring and diagnostic features required for Red Canary integration.
